What is a Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy Session?

Vibrational Medicine & Sound Sessions are....

Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy sessions are gentle, energy-based, non-invasive treatments that are similar to acupuncture, using the vibrations of tuning forks instead of needles. Laura also uses specifically tuned-chimes, Tibetan Singing Bowls placed on or around the body, crystal singing bowls and more. Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy draws on Oriental medicine, music theory, cosmological studies, psychology, and Sound Therapy principles. It’s a rigorously scientific, structured, replicatable system that is strongly supported by research and patient case studies.

The practice of Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy permeates the whole being of a person with the vibrations of the cosmic ecosystem. It harmonizes the individual’s cells and DNA to the very frequencies from which they evolved – and at the same time, the practice counteracts the damaging effects of the cellular radio frequency “soup” we are swimming in every day.

Why Vibration & Sound?

The human body, being approximately 70% water, is a natural resonator for sound vibration. Sound & Vibration travel 4x more in water!

Research and nearly twenty years of documented case studies incorporating the use of sound tools demonstrate the beneficial impact of sound in the promotion of optimal health and well-being. This approach helps people to deepen their understanding of the profound universal connections between the natural world, body, mind and spirit and the role that they each play in our journey toward wholeness.

Everything in the Universe vibrates, from the smallest particle, to the planets in our solar system, to the billions of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy, creating patterns of geometric waveforms, frequencies, musical intervals and sounds. In Western Culture, The Music of the Spheres, or the concept of these heavenly harmonies can be traced back to 6th century BCE and Pythagoras, who recognized that sounds are subject to mathematical laws and proportions and were the very foundation of the Universe. In the Eastern Tradition the idea that sound is the generator of the universe, may date back even further with references cited in ancient texts from China. It was also fundamental to the teachings of the Vedas and Hindus.

How does Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy Work?

Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy balances, grounds, builds, expands, and releases energy in the body. It combines the therapeutic potencies of the acupuncture points with the transformational impact of the intervals created by using two forks or tones together creating “entrainment.”

When entrainment occurs, small amounts of energy are transferred between the two sources. Since it takes less energy to pulse in cooperation, the source with the less powerful vibration locks into the one with the more powerful vibration. We see the use of resonance and entrainment at work in a Sound Therapy treatment. If a person is out of balance (physically, mentally or emotionally), they will lock into the therapeutic sound that is created.

Numerous case studies have shown the effectiveness of Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy for reducing pain, improving sleep, relieving hormonal issues, and treating anxiety, depression and more.

Laura was fortunate to study with an amazing array of Mind/Body Medicine master educators/practitioners during her graduate school education at Saybrook Graduate School in Northern California (her education included Consciousness Studies, Health, Mind/Body Medicine, BioFeedback, Visualization, Mindfulness Meditation, and Transpersonal Psychology). These studies form the backbone and research for these Vibrational Medicine & Sound Therapy sessions.

Laura is currently deepening her knowledge by completing the 600 hour Acutonics Certification program along with a private mentorship in Sound Therapy treatment.

Rave Reviews...

"Laura: The first time you placed the tuning forks placed on my body, I felt as though every cell, every tissue, every atom in my body was dancing for joy! I could sense parts of myself I’d long since forgotten. I felt tight muscles relax, my mind became quiet, and my whole body softened. Thank you, thank you, thank you for enabling the music of the spheres to be both heard and felt in my entire body."

- Dawn B

"When you played the singing bowls during my session, I could literally FEEL every level of my body vibrating in unison with the bowls. I've never experienced anything like this before! And the depth of relaxation I experienced was phenomenal. I look forward to my next session."

What to expect during a Vibration & Sound Therapy Session

During a session, you will lay on a table (fully clothed) or sit on a chair. Specially calibrated Tibetan Singing Bowls and/or Tuning Forks are applied to specific acupuncture points and muscles throughout the body, naturally bringing the body back into wellness, balance and deep relaxation.

Rates: $75 for a single 50 min session $100 for a single 80 min session

We recommend Vibration & Sound Therapy sessions to generally be 50 - 80 mins in length especially when combined with our other Wellness Offerings. These sessions are especially potent when added to an Assisted Stretch Therapy session or a Chi Kung for Stress Reduction session. Additionally, booking a Jade/Tourmaline Mat & Chi Machine session before or after adds to your overall wellness experience.
